On larger events, or charity fundraisers we have the option of including a face painter. We love turning faces into mini works of art! Our goal is to make every design safe, colourful, and fun while keeping parents reassured that we follow strict hygiene and safety standards. Below you’ll find answers to the most common questions we get about our paints, process, and protocols.
How long does a design take?
Most children’s faces are finished in around 5–10 minutes, though more detailed requests may take longer.
What paints do you use?
We work with either Blue Squid or Snazaroo brands. They are cosmetic‑grade, hypoallergenic, and approved under UK, EU, and FDA standards.
Is it easy to wash off?
Yes — These paints are designed to be removed with mild soap and water. Please note however, on occasion, darker colours may leave a faint tint on the skin for a short while, but this fades quickly.
Can you paint anyone?
Not always. We won’t paint children under 3, anyone with visible skin conditions or illness, or designs that could be considered offensive. The artist may also decline if there are health or safety concerns.
What about sensitive skin?
If you’re unsure, we can provide a patch test. A small dab of paint is applied to the wrist, left for 15–20 minutes, then removed to check for any reaction.
How long should face paint be worn?
There’s no strict limit, but we recommend no more than 2–3 hours. Children should never go to bed with paint still on.
